Christmas In August

As you know our staff is away for a few days. We are having a good time and getting much accomplished. As a matter of fact we spent last night dreaming, planning and putting some details down for this years Christmas series and especally Christmas Eve Services.

Christmas is four months away! Doesn't that sound crazy? This summer has been so hot that Christmas seems like it should be much further away than that! Why do we as a staff plan our Sunday services and major other ministry events so far in advance?

Because we always want to provide you and our community with the best possible services. Full of inspiration, quality and creative excellence.

Because we highly value what happens on Sunday morning and know that lives will be changed. It deserves our best.

Becuase advance planning allows us to get many volunteers involved using their gifts and passions.

Becuase we want to be creative and culturally relevant. That does not happen with 4 days advance planning.

So.........Our Christmas service planning has started and will be mostly done in the next week or two! Our next message series is called Headliners and Newsmakers...what would Jesus say to different people making the headlines these days? This week is Michael Vick! We planned this series back in May! Unfornately for Michael Vick his summer went from bad to worse. This Sunday we will share Biblically what Jesus may say to Michael Vick if they sat down and had a cup of coffee or Gatoraide together!
