Expand Clothing Drive April 13th

For six years we have been blessing the kids of Walter Bickett Elementary School at Christmas time. As you know, we provide all 700 kids a personal gift that they have specifically asked to have. We give them a party, the simple message of Christ in word and deed. This great relationship with a public school is uncommon and revolutionary. Now....we are doing more.

This Spring we are TEAMing up with Walter Bickett to provide the kids and their families with great lightly used clothes. On Sunday April 13th we will Expand our Influence by having an Expand Clothing Drive for these great kids and their families. Starting on that Sunday we will have a POD in the front of the main entrance to collect your good used clothes. We will collect all week and then a TEAM from CSF led by Mike Prasse our Care Ministry Pastor, will take the POD to the school and set up all the clothes on tables in the school's gym.

On Saturday, April 19th, all the kids and their families are invited back to school to get all the free clothes they want. We will offer to them kid, teen and adult clothes. All free......

Please start now to set aside clothes that no longer fit or that you no longer want and place them by sizes in bags. Then on April 13th bring these on Sunday with you and place in the POD. Also, please remember, don't bring dirty worn out clothes that you would not wear yourself. We want to honor these folks by giving them nice clothes.

Today's Bible Reading: 1 Corinthians chapter 3

I love verse 5-7. This makes clear the DNA of CSF. Everyone has a role to play in leading people to Christ. Everyone has gifts that need to be used. However, at the end of the day.....it is for God and because of God that people are saved and the church grows.

However, this chapter makes it very clear that you and I have a very special role to play in people being reached for Christ and having their lives reoriented around His principles of living.
