We have picked an Architect

After months of interviews we have selected David Dial from Living Stones Architects. David is an accomplished architect with many years of experience in large firms. A few years ago he branched out on his own and created Living Stones. He is an expert in our style church design and has given us great ideas and concepts to tie into our first phase. It will be awesome.

This Summer David will begin the design process and take the lead with the contractor to make sure we are set in early Spring. As with any building in the city of Matthews, we have a long set of months in front of us to get everything cleared for construction this Spring.

Also, as you know, next week is the last week we will have our offices in the rented warehouse across the street from our campus. Our staff has decided to become portable and have less privacy so that we can stop spending $5,000 a month in rent. Our offices will be located downstairs in the current kids area on the first floor. I believe we as a staff will actually like this better (no rats, AC that works) than the offices in the warehouse. I also believe that you will enjoy serving in our new portable office area better. As a staff and a Church we have always believed in being a Team and that personal sacrifice in the short run is better for long-term gratification.

Please continue to give faithfully toward your Expand pledge. We will need a steady flow of pledges coming in to achieve our new building goal. Remember, your Expand giving, regular giving and any payments for camps, sports teams and the like.....can be given on line! No need to miss while your away this summer!

Today's Bible Reading Ephesians Chapter 2

Read this classic verses and let the truth pump you up....

Verse 8-10

It is by Grace you have been saved, through faith..and this not from anything you can even do to earn it, it is the Gift of God, not by your works (what you do) so that no one can brag. We are God's handcrafted workmanship of perfection, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
