Did I scare you? Probably not! But most people like to be scared a little. That is why haunted houses and such are a big thing this time of year.

Have you ever wondered why we like to be scared? Why is it that we are intrigued by the dark side? Americans love horror movies, are enthralled with ghost, goblins, witches and all the things that go bump in the night.

People have always been curious about what happens to humans after we die. Do we become spiritual ghosts that hang around the earth? Do we immediately "cross-over"? Can humans talk to family members who have passed on? Are there such things as hauntings from people who are "earth-bound" ghost?

Does our grandma who passed on look over us and offer guidance? Can people make contact with dead people to ask questions? Shows on TV like "Ghost Whisperer" and the corresponding website seek to help people who are having trouble with Ghosts and also want different paranormal "strange" things addressed. There is even a website where a lady by the name of Mary Ann Winkowski will answer your questions about the strange things happening in your house and life.

What are we to believe about Ghosts and the afterlife? This Sunday we will jump into a short, 2 week message series called...."Understanding The Darkside".
