Who Do YOU Listen To?

(Quick typo to clear up...Easter Egg Hunt is in March not April)

Do you have dreams for 2008? Do you have some lofty dreams and goals for your life, career and family? I hope and pray that you do.

I know I have BIG dreams for my family! I have HUGE dreams for CSF and the people who make up this life-changing and dynamic Fellowship. I hope you too personally see yourself playing a major part in the BIG dream that is CSF.

When it comes to moving toward your personal dreams and goals, what steps are you taking to make them reality? Every dream has to have a plan, process and path that you engage in fully to see it happen. Do you know what these are in your life's dreams?

Over the last year or so I have re-learned a principle that I have begun to once again implement into my life and ministry here at CSF. The principle is this: Your dreams are yours and you will only be able to move on the motor that is fueled by
your passion and love for that dream. If you don't love what you are doing and the path you are heading in, then you will not make it when things get rough.....as all dreams will have their challenges. Moreover, you have to be who God has called you to be and not try to be or accomplish what you think others want you to be and do.

We all know people who chased money and power but lost their passionate dream along the way. They may have money, power and other things that people told them was a worthy cause to chase after....but they find them selves hating what they are doing and dreading tomorrow.

I know this for a fact. When you decide to move forward in trying to reach your goal and dreams that God has given you....people from all around will give you their opinion and try to persuade you in many different directions.

We have to learn to listen first to God and then the voice in our soul that tells us what is the right thing to do. Not the easiest. Not the safest. Not the most popular. Many times the decisions to be made are not morally right or wrong...they are just different.

Who should we listen to then? As Christ followers we listen to God, seek wise counsel and then move in the direction of our heart's cry and passion for what we have been asked to do by God and the dream in our soul that won't fade.

In today's Bible reading we read about the Crucifixion of Jesus. Jesus knew his ultimate Passion was lost people. He knew his Path was up the "Skull". He knew God's Plan was for Him to be the Savior of the world. So he moved forward.....

We also read in verse 23 & 24 Pilate went against what he knew to be the right thing to do and listened to the CROWD. He went with the popular decision and not what he knew in his heart was the right thing to do. He polled the people and went completely against what he was paid to do...govern correctly.

When it comes to your dreams and goals.....who do you listen to????
