Wii vs Scrable

On Sunday I told you about our family game night that we tried to have while it was snowing outside. Saturday night my wife picked Scrabble for us to play. I cannot think of a more boring game than trying to "out-spell" the other person. I felt like I was back in 4th grade having a Spelling Bee.

Last night we played our new Wii. (Editors note: We had to sell our new Christmas
dog, Tebow....my wife's allergies flared up and he had to go....sad day in the Hibbard house. We made it up by buying our son a new Wii) Now that is a game night for high energy people with attention problems. We swung bats and rackets, pitched, bowled and shot pool on in the comforts of our living room. That is an ingenious game for families like the Hibbards.

However, this morning my shoulder is soar and I have rug burn on my toe. I often thought about it last night...how crazy do families now look to people who may see them through their window as they jump and swing while looking at a T.V. Most people would say that they don't care how foolish they look...it is good family fun. I agree.

Yesterday, your CSF staff had a half-day 2008 planning meeting. We have planned some things that are going to give you, your family, your friends and our entire Fellowship opportunities to just have some fun! At CSF we are not just about getting you to attend on Sunday morning....we are a Fellowship interested in "doing life together." We have planned fun things over the next year to encourage singles and families to get out and have some fun. We want to encourage healthy fun activities for singles, moms, dads and kids. We are putting an emphasis on healthy relationships this year as we all grow together. Healthy and meaningful relationships does not happen when we just come on Sunday and view a service only to run back into seclusion for the rest of the week.

Mark these fun dates down now and plan now to get out, get involved, build some healthy friendships and have FUN!

April 22nd Huge Family Easter Egg Hunt. (And we mean HUNT...we have 20 acres of land filled with beautiful trees and rolling hills. Great place to find INCREDIBLE prizes in an egg.)

May 9th Ladies Night Out at CSF (A huge hit last year is back)

May 10th 80's Retro Dance (We will clear out the chairs, hang the dancing ball and let the DJ pump the music through our state or the art sound system. Clint has promised to start the night off with his famous "worm-dance.")

May 11th Special Mother's Day Service

June 13th Men's Texas Hold'em Tournament (Last year this was huge...this year will be bigger with even more prizes!)

June 15th Special Mother's Day Service

June 29 - July 2nd All-Stars Kid's Camp (New place and New Fun!)

July 14 - 18 CSF Student Ministry Camp (Same place and New Fun!)

July 27th Family Day Camp at Camp Eagle Rock. (We have the whole place reserved just for CSF family and friends. From 2pm - 9pm we will have use of the pools, ropes course, ball fields, sand volleyball court, climbing wall and much more!)

Daily Bible Reading: Luke 22

Jesus ask a great question in verse 27? Who is greater? The one sitting at the table or the person serving the table. Jesus said of himself, I am one who serves. You choose.......do you want to be a person who sits or be like Jesus?
