Free CSF CD This Sunday

Over the last six months our CSF band has been writing and recording their own worship CD. These songs have become some of our favorites over the last few months in our Sunday services. This Sunday and "This Sunday Only" each family will get a FREE CD that has just been produced and is now finished. KC & The Band have been working very long nights and early mornings to get this project complete. It is a dynamic and inspiring CD. The songs come from the heart of our band and their full devotion to Christ and our church. What I love about this CD is that it is not our band just singing songs that are famous now in the Christian worship world......no,no,no, these are songs they wrote after listing to a Sunday message, after a personal experience with Christ at home, or thinking about what God is doing at our church.

This is the first of many CD's our band will begin to produce.....here soon we will even let you get in on the fun as we do a live CD recording!

Also, this Sunday I will announce the total given up front in cash to our Expand Campaign and how much was pledged over three years. (if you have not turned in your card...you still can) This will also be a great Sunday as we launch our new Message Series called SIMPLE. (see yesterday's BLOG for the titles)

Today's Bible Reading 1 Thessalonians Chapter 3

Paul continues to encourage the younger Christians that he has helped to reach, teach and grow in their new relationship with Christ. He tells them that even though he is in prison and is being persecuted for his faith, that he is thrilled that they are doing so well.

Question for you who have been Christians for a while.....who do you help reach and then teach. DO you have any young Christians that you are helping to grow in Christ? Anyone you meet with to encourage? In the Christian world this has always been called Discipleship. One person helping another to grow in their knowledge and practice of what it means to be a follower of Christ. Some companies call it shadowing and sports teams call it coaching. Do you have someone in your life that you are Coaching though the hurdles of this life?
