Great Weekend Ahead!

Someone asked me the other day why we were having an 80's dance on Saturday night. I told them we had three good reasons:

1) To have fun
2) To have a fun place and time to invite a friend
3) To have a fun place for dad's to bring mom (their wife) on Mother's day weekend that will be different than the normal and routine "dinner & movie."

With a live DJ, twirling dance ball, great food and the sounds of Journey, MJ, Madonna, REO Speed-Wagon and more..this will be a great night.

Also, we are having a special Mother's Day service on Sunday. This will be a meaningful service for all moms AND anyone who is a parent, has parents...or really has anyone in your life that you love dearly.

The theme for this years Mother's Day is "Enjoying Each Moment!" Make sure you invite your friends. Many times men are more willing to come on a Sunday where they know it is a special service for their wives.

Today's Bible Reading: Matthew 26

Denial, Betrayal and Fear. These are the traits that describe Jesus close friends the disciples as He was preparing for the Cross. Have you ever wondered what you would have done if you were there when all this was going on? Think you would have stood up for Jesus and defended Him? Hopefully! However, here is a great question as we head into the weekend. This weekend you will have a chance to stand up for your Christian values and principles or to denounce them by your actions. You will probably have a chance to be fear of what others think about your faith. What will you do?
